The Place is a vibrant, modern community hub and resource centre in the heart of Fallowfield.

It provides a community library service alongside a wide range of activities, courses and events for local people. It has a modern IT suite and a number of IT-equipped community rooms where local groups can meet.

With funding from Manchester City Council we were able to carry out an extensive refurbishment and transform the existing building into a modern community hub – with the much-loved library still at its core. Amongst other features, frameless glazed walls were introduced to form new contemporary rooms without compromising natural light and in order to still retain the feel of airiness.
